Well, some things you really don't need to know.
My partner John Ranck and I live with two cats, Potter and the Golden Snitch, in a drafty Victorian house in lovely Dorchester Center, Massachusetts. My work avatar is Software Engineer and I'm currently the technical lead on a browser-based front-end to a mainframe performance analysis tool. It is, despite that description, an interesting project which allows us the opportunity to use XML, XSLT, Java, XHTML, DHMTL, CSS—the usual bleeding edge suspects.
This web site began as a place to stash the Hardacker genealogy and the family cat photographs, which I believe are required by law on all personal web sites. In February 2002, I added weblog software in an attempt to force myself to keep a garden journal. That was a dismal failure, but if I ever get a digital camera, I will probably try again.
This is also a lab of sorts and therefore always a work-in-progress.
OK, a beech.
