FORMER SCHOOL TEACHER DIES MISS DILLA HARDACKER PASSES AWAY THIS MORNING Had Been a Member of Appleton’s Instructional Corps for Period of Seven Years Appleton, Wis., Monday, July 30 The death of Miss Dilla Hardacker, aged 55 years, occurred this morning at four o’clock after an illness that has extended over a long period. The deceased had made her home while in this city with Mrs. E. A. Mills at 763 Ida street. Death was due to consumption. The funeral services will be held from the Mills residence Wednesday afternoon, August 1, the Rev. S. H. Anderson officiating. Miss Hardacker had been a teacher in the public schools of Appleton seven years. This work had been her life vocation and she had been an instructor for twenty-five years. She first came to Appleton about sixteen years ago and has resided here most of the time since, always making her home with Mrs. E. A. Mills when in the city. The deceased had a large acquaintance in the city and the news of her demise will be learned with sorrow. Besides her sister, Mrs. E. A. Mills, a brother, Herman Hardacker, of Ellington, survives. |
